literally heartbreaking (Bigfoot)

August 20th, 2008 by Fitz

I’m not sure which is worse in the following video clip: the misuse of literally, or the newscaster’s awful pun (”one group’s hopes of finding bigfoot melt away”).

“It’s heartwrenching. This we thought was an answer to a mystery that’s been going on for far too long. The best term I can use is: it was heartbreaking, literally.”

i’m still trying to figure out if “Sasquatch” is Bigfoot’s name, or if that’s the name of his species

    lol, this really is heartbreaking

i imagine a heart that is literally broken must be even more painful than one that is just figuratively broken. i hope i never experience the former.

That was a really awful thing for somebody to do. These poor people think they found a frozen Bigfoot, when it turns out somebody just put in a rubber ape costume! Poor guys!
