Typo in the header needs correcting! I thought this quote was a good example of how people use the word “literally” without even thinking about it, as part of their everyday vocabulary.

If you’re going to be picky about language, you should at least spell ‘literally’ correctly…

The overuse and misuse of “literally” drives me up a wall…figuratively, of course

I love your site. Only a few weeks ago, I started keeping a Notepad file open to record misuses of the word “literally.”– after an example concerning “the world being literally covered in again,” I haven’t found any more. I’ll pass them on when I do find them.
