literally on a crazy high

On tonight’s episode of The Daily Show, Jon Stewart remarked that some audience members were “literally on a crazy high after graduating” from college. Not sure what to say about this one. It’s open for interpretation. My argument would be, that since “on a crazy high” is figurative to begin with, it is impossible to literally be on one. I mean… what would that even mean?
Fitz adds:
I’d have to categorize that as incorrect. “To get high” generally means to excite or stupefy by using a drug, but to literally “get high” you could climb a mountain. The “crazy” part is just an added figure of speach (meaning extreme). To be fair, The Daily Show might actually have stadium seating with a special section for the mentally handicapped, but I don’t think that is what Jon Stewart was implying.
